Responsibilities

The Mentor may provide mentoring services to assigned clients and their families. 

  • Role Model and Support: Serve as a role model for assigned individuals, providing support and assistance to other service providers to enhance service delivery to individuals and their families.
  • Transportation: Provide transportation for individuals, including escorting them to appointments or recreational activities. Must have reliable transportation to and from the assigned place of work.
  • School Problem Resolution: Participate in resolving school-related issues for individuals.
  • Case Management: Provide case management and coordinate services to assist other staff members working on the case.

Qualifications

  • At minimum, Mentor must have a high school education with experience in volunteer or actual work experience with children and families. 
  • It is preferred Mentors, be an active student in a bachelor’s Degree Program in the Human Services field such as Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, etc.  (i.e., any degree allowed / required to be credentialed as a QMHP) and be in their junior year of a four-year degree program.
